Hi, I’m Lily the founder of Another Mai

This journey has been a long time coming. Back in 2020 during lockdown, I started a small jewellery business from my bedroom at just 18 years old. What began as a creative escape quickly grew into something I never expected hundreds of pairs of earrings, over 600 sales a month, and a community that believed in what I was creating.

But when lockdown ended, life shifted. I went to university to study marketing and made the difficult decision to put my business on hold. At the time, I thought it was the “right” thing to do to focus on my degree and follow a more traditional path.

Four years later, I graduated… but something didn’t feel right.

After months of working at a desk, I realised I had lost a part of myself my creativity, my spark, the thing that once made me feel truly alive. And that’s when I knew: it was time to start again.

Jewellery has always been part of who I am. Growing up with parents who are jewellers, I’ve been surrounded by it my entire life. But beyond that, jewellery has always meant something deeper to me. Through my own struggles with body image and confidence, it was the one thing that never changed. It always fit. It always made me feel like me.

That’s why this brand exists.

I wanted to create jewellery that doesn’t just look beautiful, but feels empowering pieces you can wear every day without worry. That’s why all our jewellery is waterproof, tarnish-free, and designed to last. Because confidence shouldn’t come with conditions, and feeling good about yourself should never be something you have to think twice about.
